Medical Officer / Resident Medical Officer

• To assist in the management pre & post operative management of patients and provide back-up support to the Consultant
• To liaise with nursing staff regularly (at least every 3-4 hours) to check on patient progress, or more frequently if their condition necessitates. To see patients as required and carry out examinations of patients.
• To be part of a team providing 24 hour medical cover and immediate first line resuscitation to any hospital patient, visitor or staff member as required.

Person specification:

• Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience.
• Able to demonstrate 6 months experience with surgical in-patients within in the last 2 years.
• Will be required to hold a valid ALS and PALS certification.

Must be well organised and have the ability to plan ahead and deal with issues as they arise.
