Job related competences
- Determine the condition of the person that needs care (clinical, psychological, …). Record the collected information in the patient record.
- Follow the clinical situation of the person with a care need (stability, excretion, behavior, …) Discuss the evolution of the clinical situation with the interdisciplinary team.
- Drafting the care plan according to the needs of the persons with a care need. Preparing the nursing material.
- Providing nursing care. Communicating with the person with a care need (experience, pain, …). Completing the patient record (incidents, changes in the clinical situation, …).
- Inform and advise the person with a care need and his or her environment.
- Monitoring the physical safety and health of the person that needs care.
- Providing palliative care, end of life care and guidance in the grieving process.
- Treating (disinfecting and sterilizing) or having the medical waste and the reusable medical equipment treated.
