Specialist ICU nurse

The neurosurgery department in a university hospital in Sweden is looking for specialist nurses in Intensive Care with at least 2 years of experience to join their team.

At NIVA there are about 90 intensive care nurses and attendants, working in team with a neurosurgeon and an intensive care physician. As an intensive care nurse, you will receive an individual induction with one of your colleagues as a mentor.

It is a specialist department where children and adults with injuries and diseases of the brain and spinal cord caused by trauma or illness are cared for. Common diagnoses include brain bleeding, tumor diseases and trauma after falls and traffic accident.

SALARY & CONDITIONS

• Salary starting from approx. 30.500 SEK gross per month. Salary is decided on an individual basis, depending on the collective experience of the candidate.
• Full time employment (rotation employment where weekend and night employment is included).

• The position requires experience with intensive care patients, respirators, monitoring equipment and infusion pumps.
• Permanent contract after 6 months trial period and obtaining the licence.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc. degree in nursing from the EU and a specialist title in Intensive Care• Availability to complete the intensive language course
